The Point is a 62,000 square foot facility located in Westerville, Ohio. Originally constructed in 1969 by Mettler-Toledo as an office/warehouse facility, this Steelox/Armco pre-engineered metal building was renovated in 2016 to serve as the home for Otterbein’s interdisciplinary academic and innovation center.
In 2017, Otterbein University engaged WSA Studios to design the remainder of the space and develop new architectural features that inspire innovation and enhance the University Brand.
The 40,000 square foot interior build-out included a new entrance on the south side of the facility, interior space improvements within the empty shell and modifications within the existing space. The new spaces include technology-rich instructional areas, functioning labs, flexible meeting and collaboration space, and offices. A catering kitchen, coffee shop and game room, along with all necessary building support found in modern campus facilities are also included
